Who we are
Melissa is a Nurse Practitioner who obtained her Master's Degree with special certification in Family All Ages Care, from the University of Saskatchewan. Melissa is passionate about caring for the person with the condition versus treating the condition affecting patient. Long standing health conditions and concerns are usually not fixed with just a prescription, but may take a multi-faceted approach. Melissa listens to her patients and tailors a care plan that has realistic actionable items and achievable goals, not just another prescription. Nurse Practitioners are able to assess, diagnose, refer to specialists, as well as order diagnostics such as lab work, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), ultrasounds and x-rays. Nurse practitioners are trained to treat the whole person not just the condition.
